Connie and I drove out to Terrero again to see how the remodel on her cabin was going. And it was going good. The ceiling had been removed in the living area, opening the place up big time, The underside of the roof was revealed, some beams still spanning the walls, the rest of the beams meeting at the apex. The workers were putting up dry wall on the between the beams and doing a really good job. I've done some dry wall and I can tell you, it's a difficult task. But they were pro's and showed. After a longish day, we drove back, got home a little over an hour later, watched a some soccer, and called it a day.

Still docked at Robert and Stephen's place. Spent longish days at Starbucks once again scheming ways to get more "Wander Lost" scenes shot here. It seems the process takes about three weeks to get talent to eventually come along for the ride. Last Friday, after slow going, things happened quickly. I was suddenly sitting across 4 people who were "Ready to shoot!" at the Starbucks., Al, Ellis, Vimal and Eric. After a postponed shoot on Saturday (another actor coming from about an hour away was forced to turn back when a family crisis occurred). I rescheduled for Sunday with a substitute actor.. And the shoot went very well! That's Al and Ellis in the picture on top who acted in the short "Piles" . They did a fine job. I am NOW writing two to three more scenes that I would very much like to shoot before I leave Santa Fe (in approximately two to three more weeks).
On the 19th, my dear friend Susanna arrived from Austin for a visit, drove here, took her two days. . Without knowing where I was parked she rented an airbnb on the same street as me, Alto! We dined that night and have been coffee'ing every morning and dining every evening. Her place is terrific, has a washer and dryer (I'm doing a load as I write this) Her place has every other little thing a traveler could possibly desire. It's been great. Soooz departs this Saturday, just in the nick of time to attend a party Robert and Stephen are throwing this Friday.
