Santa Fe Week 11-12

Surprise, surprise, I'm still in Santa Fe, New Mexico! Altho I have no right - I'm beginning to feel like a New Mexican (altho heritage wise, I'm already halfway there!) Tallied days here, so far 110.
Still sunny skies most days, but the cold New Mexican winter climate has been steadily making its frigid way every day making for some cold-ass nights inside the ATXTraveler RV. Parking in front of Bobby & Stephen's place and access to electricity has made all the difference (electric heater!).
Instead of going to the DeVargas Mall and the Starbucks to leach off the wifi there, I've discovered a way better place: Ortega Teen Center, a mere 3 blocks from Bobby's front door, right off Agua Fria. Free wifi, empty parking lot, super close to home. I park the RV so it's aiming at "El Sol" for maximum solar panel absorption so'z the batteries are topped off, always!,. And aimed south, my new King antenna picks up a whopping 73 (mostly crappy!) channels. But the good TV channels (all 4 networks especially - football!) come in crystal clear :) And my beloved MeTV comes in clear no matter where I'm parked.
Why is MeTV beloved? Perry Mason. TWICE a day :)
Finally received my new rubber seal from Amazon for the air conditioner unit that sits on top of the RV. No I don't run the AC nowadays. But it's from there (14X14 rectangular hole) that I've chased a nagging leak every time it rains. The timing was great. A not too cold, dry day, and I climbed up there and took most of the day getting her done. We had a sorta wet day soon after that (no leak) but it wasn't no real downpour, no real leak test.
Robert drove to LA, Ca. to few days ago to help organize an upcoming conference to take place on the USC campus (1700 mile round trip!). Robert, FYI, along with his husband Stephen seldom fly. They drive. Regardless of the distance. They drive so much every year, that they buy new cars every few years. It should be noted that they enjoy driving. Last month Robert drove to Chicago for a conference (2500 miles round trip!). And a few days ago, Robert got in his CRV and drove to San Marcos TX (picked Stephen up at the Austin airport) to attend a tennis camp (1400 mile round trip). This Don Newcombe tennis camp is an annual thing and brings Robert great pleasure :)
There hasn't been any shooting of "Wander Lost" scenes in a long time, but I'm getting closer. Talent has committed and numerous scenes have been written. Now I just gotta organize and do some shooting.
I'm spending more and more time with Shaktí We love hanging out and really enjoy one another's company :) Me, Shaktí, Shaktí's roommate (great guy) Jesse and her terrific neighbors, Eileen and Ruben (they invited S&J, I tagged along) went to a terrific Christmas party given by a Dr. friend of theirs (fabulous person, extraordinary host Carla) in a very fancy and I imagine pricey, lovely house just outside SF. There was MUCH making merry! And a spread and bar that was out of this world. We all danced, ate, drank, and we five left at the perfect time.
Christmas rapidly approaching. There are 3 special people I want to buy a little something for, modest presents, in the thought-that-counts gifting category.
Last night we got some rain and sleet, stiff winds and a chilly drop in temp but blue-blue skies and sun this morning, yay. On my regular three mile walk around 9A I nearly slipped on icy sidewalks twice!
I think it's gonna snow any day now. Night's routinely in the teen's and twenties. Everyone keeps telling me that I ain't seen nothing yet cold temp wise. Everyone, since it'll make for a Christmas winter wonderland, would welcome snow.
More later!
