I think this is week two still. I've been here a while. Lot's of good stuff 's gone on. Great eight days kicked of SF at Connie's, now docked in front of Robert and Stephen's for probably going on a week. On Alto street in a quaint neighborhood with streets, at times, so narrow that cars must take turns passing by. Nowhere near as convenient to the excellent restaurants and bakeries and businesses in general as in Connie's neighborhood (Clafuoutis, Dulce, The New Mexican Bakery, Trader Joe's, etc.) but way OK nonetheless. What I do most days is drive my RV to the DeVargas Center (5 mins away) and park very near the Starbucks. From there I can surf the SB's wifi, or go inside and sip coffee and surf in air conditioned comfort. There's a Sprouts in the shopping center, a CVS, an Office Depot and a Post Office. Necessary needs all in one location. It's great. Robert and I had dinner last evening at a restaurant there (I had a margarita!) We'll have dinner there again tonight.
For many other every day needs, I go down Cerrilos street often, It is not very far away, Cerillos is. There's a Smith's (great grocery store, great prices) a Walmart and all the rest.
Every time I'm around Robert and Stephen (hereafter referred to as R&S ) I have a great time. When I arrived at their place, many gatherings were occuring or about to occur celebrating Stephen's birthday. I got in on some of the celebration here and there which was plenty for me and felt just right. One main attraction was a fabulous chocolate cake Stephen made. It may have been the best damn cake I have ever had (see pictures).
As far as my traveling film Wander Lost, it's been slow trekking. Getting people to participate has progressed very slow. Going to renew the Santa Fe Craig's AD, and beginning today, putting up flyers at coffee shops. I'm posting todays blog from Downtown Subscription. I rode my bike here. And the first thing I did was put up one of my WL flyers on the bulletin board. There really was no room for the flyer. After some deft rearranging, I pinned it up. Some of it was obscured. Most of it was visible. I'll hit the Starbucks later today and post a flyer there, too.
