Santa Fe Week 10

I'd set a reminder on my Mac calendar to pop on the screen when I had been on the road for 150 days. It appeared on my screen yesterday. And folks, I have not even visited my next destinations,; Tucson Az, Indio Ca, LA (Hannah), Fallbrook, Joshua Tree, etc.
Thanksgiving was a mostly nice affair at a friend of Robert and Stephen's, Carlotta, who sits on the Pro Musica board and is something of a big shot around here. Like all gatherings to celebrate this wholly made up American holiday, there was an abundance of (very good) food and drink. Robert and Stephen provided the turkey (perfect) and some equally delicious sides. I brought a pumpkin pie purchased at at one of my fav local supers, Market Street. Dressing/stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc., so many leftovers that it was all split equally. Well, one "holiday" down, two to go. Not a terribly big fan of the holidays and all that goes with it, but being on the road helps. Not only can I retreat into my RV, I can drive away!
It's getting colder in the evenings, but the weather people keep saying that it's unseasonably warm and for the most part, I believer them! But it's New Mexico and it's Santa Fe. I've been here on visits during the dead of winter and it snows all the time, gets colder, gets wintery. - and beautiful. Sure I could survive and possibly (easily) make it thru Christmas. But the idea of heading for Tucson Arizona and warmer weather soon is beginning to appeal to me mas y mas.
Shooting for Wander Lost, since "Katie & Johann" and not picked up again. But I have written quite a few more scenes. Like I've noted before, the full-time job of getting talent with all its coordination headaches has been a factor, a real hurdle. I got the ideas. But the drive (Me) to find actors and plan and coordinate has waned, mostly cuz I have not tried as hard as before. I'm not frustrated, however, I'll let this lull play out and see if the get-to-work" pendulum begins to swing back. And since I have no deadline, schedule or timetable, I never feel pressure get things shot.
Stephen came back to SF for vacation. Every time all three us, me, Bobby and Stephen, get together to chat, sip on wine, or coffee at the coffee shop, we have a really good time. We discuss every little thing, topics galore. Bobby and I provide the silly. Lately I've asked many questions about classical music to Stephen, who is an expert. My appreciation for classical music has soared. Stephen patiently answers all my questions. Any day now I may become a dilettante on the topic :)
Over the course of about the last two weeks or so I began to see a really great woman, Shakti. We have hung out and things have progressed nicely. We like each other. Last weekend we took a hike, which was great (I need to do more outdoorsy things!). We go out to eat, talk a lot (blabbermouth me!), laugh and, well, you get the picture. Shakti went to Colorado for Thanksgiving and I have been anxiously been awaiting her Sunday return.
Today, realizing I needed to shoot an insert of "The Doll" (a short scene to be added to the end of Katie and Johann), I got to work and shot several angles of "La Munueca" in Robert and Stephen's lovely front yard. There will be a few shots preceding the "doll shots", - shot's I am in. But I can't act and shoot myself at the same time. I was hoping Robert would do the shooting this morning but he and Stephen were in a hurry for a one day out of town trip. I'll try and have R shoot me Monday.
More later!
